Flooring Online started with a spark of an idea between myself and Ashley. To be fair, the idea really came from countless previous conversations that where we would always circle back to the same point:
People are being asked to make flooring decisions in the wrong place.
I’ve grown up in the trade, it’s what I do, it’s in my blood. I learned from my father and grandfather how floors should be measured, fitted and finished properly. Ashley came to flooring through sales and design and she brings a deep understanding of how colour, texture and feel change and elevate a room.
As life partners and business partners, I can tell you one thing, we don’t always agree on everything! But with this there were no disputes. We saw the same issue from different angles.
Customers were expected to choose flooring under showroom lights, away from their homes or businesses, their layout, their furniture and then hope it worked once it was installed.
So we built Flooring Online around a simple idea: the best flooring decisions happen in the space itself.
Flooring, Done Differently
Instead of asking you to travel, we bring the showroom to you. Flooring Online starts online, where you can browse options, get a sense of pricing and narrow things down in your own time.
Then you simply book a home visit and our mobile showroom arrives at your door, so you can see and feel flooring in your own light, against your own walls and in the context that actually matters.
It’s a calmer, more confident and often fun way to choose and once you experience it, it just makes sense.
There’s another part of this model that matters just as much cost.
Because we don’t operate a traditional showroom, we don’t carry the overheads that are usually baked into flooring prices. No warehouse rent. No rates. No retail premises. No unnecessary layers.
That means we can offer high-quality flooring at better value and pass those savings directly on to you. You’re paying for the product, the expertise and the fitting, not the building it’s stored in.
